Established in 1994, Mission Trust is an independent trust company based in Tucson, Arizona.  Our core services include trust and fiduciary services, asset management, and securities custody.  Mission Trust works with high net worth families, special needs or supplemental benefits trusts, religious and non-profit organizations, retirement, corporate and captive insurance assets.  Why trust Mission Trust?

The Mission Trust Story

From Bullfighting to Bull/Bear—and Beyond

Mission Trust’s story has modest roots in the jungles of Costa Rica, where Carmen Bermúdez was born, to the bullrings of Mexico City, where she was one of the first women bullfighters.  Showing the same courage she displayed in the bullring, Mission’s Chairman Emerita and founder, established the first minority-woman owned trust company in an industry dominated by larger companies.

Carmen’s story has appeared in The New York Times, an Arizona PBS video,  and many other publications:

When founding Mission, Carmen envisioned providing top quality trust services and always giving back to the community.  Even Mission Trust’s name reflects those objectives.  As inspiration, Carmen selected Mission San Xavier, Tucson’s noteworthy landmark inextricably identified with the local Native American population.  That name acts as a constant guide and reminder about our responsibilities to clients and the community.

In 2022, Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (Notre Dame FCU) acquired Mission Management & Trust Co, opening new doors to a comprehensive financial services ecosystem designed with clients in mind. At the core of our partnership with Notre Dame FCU lies an unwavering commitment: People Over Profit.
