We Think Outside of the Box
Small, Independent Trust Company with Big, Original Ideas
Flexibility allows us to do things differently from our competitors. Practitioners praise our customized solutions and ability to service clients in ways other corporate trustees cannot.
Limited Power of Attorney for IRAs
This proprietary product enables Mission Trust to serve as an agent under a limited power of attorney, authorizing us to make decisions about your client’s IRA investments and process RMDs. This service complements our successor trustee role for clients who have small trusts, but significant IRA assets.
Special or Hard-to-Value Assets
Our team understands that each trust is different. We navigate the unique fiduciary and practical challenges inherent in administering trusts with non-traditional and hard-to-value assets. We manage or have managed trusts, estates and IRAs with:
- Notes, loans and mortgages
- Real estate, including commercial, residential and vacant lots
- Farm property
- Business entities, such as LLCs or partnerships
- Mineral, oil and gas rights
- Collectible art, furniture and jewelry
- Copyrights
Trust Language Required and Acceptance of Appointment
Other institutions require specific language for your client’s trust document. Mission Trust believes that you know your client best and trusts you to draft estate planning documents to meet your client’s objectives. All we ask is that you get our name right: Mission Management & Trust Co. While we greatly appreciate copies of the completed estate plan, we also understand your client’s preference for privacy.
We don’t take months to determine whether we will accept an appointment. We know that time is of the essence and families are waiting to move forward with their loved one’s estate or trust. Documents required to help us make our decision include trust document and any amendments, will and any codicils, and three years of tax returns and financial statements.
